Our steady marketing program across Europe, visiting and introducing Constanta Shipyard to various reputable shipping companies, lead to a succesful booking of M/T CLARET PRINCE from a Monaco based company.
The project itself it was a standard docking & repairs one, but the worth-to-be mentioned fact it is that this vessel was the first large tonnage oil tanker on which the water jetting surface preparation was performed for the entire hull using our new, state-of-the art UHP set of equipment.
Thanking to our Client for their opening toward environmental friendly solution, we are confident that subject project was just the first one in a long series of similar.
The main scope of works consisted of:
• Normal docking works: sea chests & gratings, sea strainers, anodes renewal (o/s), valves o/h, anchor chains ranging/cleaning, rudder clearences & tail shaft wear down measurements, intermediate shaft bearing, propeller polishing;
• External hull treatment and painting: HPFW 350 bar-450 bar washing up to 18290 sqm; ultra-high pressure jetting of 2000-2500 bar for up to 6300 sqm on vertical sides, spot grit blasting SA1/SA2 on remaining hull"s areas, 2 T/U and F/C of paint application, Hull marks;
• Pipe works: renewal up to 115 rm of pipe, pipe insulation renewal (up to 139 rm of pipe);
• Mechanical & electrical works:
-M/E works: Crank web deflection, Cylinder covers o/h-7 nos. incl. starting valves o/h, fuel injectors o/h, safety valves o/h; Turbocharger o/h (1 pc), Air cooler o/h (1 pc);
-D/G works: Spare cylinder cover chemical cleaning-4 nos, Turbocharger o/h (1pc); Governor o/h (1 unit);
-Other works: PV valves o/h (14 pcs); Pumps overhauling (6 pcs); Mooring winch & windlass brake o/h & o/s ferodo renewal (12+6 pcs); Heat exchangers o/h (5 pcs); Electric motors o/h (22 pcs); Emergency switchboard (2 pcs), Air vent heads o/h (27 pcs up to 300A).
