“SMM is more than a trade fair – it is the heartbeat of this industry,” Heiko M. Stutzinger, CEO of Hamburg Messe und Congress (HMC). For four days (3rd – 6th of September 2024), the shipbuilding & ship-repairs universe met in Hamburg for the 31st SMM. The mood was excellent at the leading international maritime trade fair as well-established enterprises and start-ups alike laid out before the maritime business world the technological innovations and solutions it needs to build a green and digital shipping future. For SANTIERUL NAVAL CONSTANTA SA (SNC) , there is already a tradition to participate with its own booth and a team of professionals to each and every edition of this trade fair. This time the focus was set on several discussions with service providers, equipment suppliers, designers, makers, aso, considering the Shipyard’s interest in using the actual & future technology and equipment’s for its new-building ongoing program, but for ship-repairs activity, too. It was a real pleasure in meeting traditional partners for both ship-building and ship-repairs activities, but also a real interest from new visitors and potential clients for the Shipyard. Contacts was strengthen and refreshed, new ones were added on the contacts list under the aim of developing long lasting partnership. Counting over 48,000 participants from more than 100 countries, SMM 2024 reaffirmed its position as the leading international maritime trade fair. The next SMM will take place in Hamburg from 1 to 4 September 2026 and we can ensure our partners that SANTIERUL NAVAL CONSTANTA SA (SNC) will be present again with latest results in this challenging world of shipbuilding & ship-repairs !
